The Literacy Specialist will provide a variety of support to summer programs. The definitions of the areas of support as follows:
Classroom Management/ Support - Provide support to overall program structure and routine
Staff Mentoring/Coaching - Support program staff as a mentor, particularly for staff members interested in a career in education. Literacy Support Specialist can also assist with classroom/student/instruction questions.
Program Specific Assessment Proctoring - Literacy Support Specialist will provide support and assistance in proctoring program assessments.
Literacy Instruction Knowledge - Literacy Support Specialist can provide support in small groups literacy instruction, literacy best practices and/or support in ESL strategies.
